Do more!
One of the key fundamentals of losing weight, is do more! its that simple!
Get motivated and get out and do something, one of the most useful things that I found in this area when I was trying to lose weight, was starting a sport, and for me, that was soccer, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to sign up for a sport, why not pump a few tunes through you're iPod and go outside for a quick jog?
Most dietitians recommend a minimum of thirty minutes of exercise, but for a lot of people only just starting to lose weight, I would recommend a twenty minute afternoon jog, and gradually work you're way up, adding ten minutes each week to work your way up to fifty minutes.
Chew more
A rather weird old tip that my grandmother gave me for weight loss, was chew more? It sounds strange at first, but what it actually does, is allow you to break down your food more (like a cow a bit) and allow you're stomach to send the signal to you're brain, of how full you actually are.
I recommend twenty chews per mouthful of food (at least thats were I started).
Poo more
Sounds strange, but on average, people don't poop enough, this actually allows a build up of toxins and bad chemicals in you're body, this indirectly affects you're weight and energy levels, what I recommend to remedy this, is eat more fibre, fruits, vegetables and drink lots of water. This in turn, cleans out you're system, and gives you more energy to do things (such as exercise).
Burn what you eat!
The title says it all, burn off as much as you eat! It might sound strange at first, but one of the main reasons people start to gain weight, is because they eat more than they burn off in doing things, another thing that can happen sometimes, is that you might eat something with a high fat content (cake, ice cream, etc, etc) and not have enough time put aside, to get outside and work it off.
Now, my way to remedy these problems, is to really think before I eat something (will I have enough time to work it off?) or to go out for a quick jog/bike ride in the afternoon.
Now, remember, thats just my solution, weight loss is an extremely flexible thing, the bottom line being, get out and do something!
Smaller spoons and bowls
The title says it all, use smaller cutlery (knives, forks, spoons) and smaller bowls when eating, Its that simple! To be honest though, I found it REALLY annoying at first, but hey, give it some time and you'll get used to it, and lose some weight in the process! Now hows that for a good deal?
