Physical activities have several benefits for our physical and mental health. On one hand It helps controlling diabetes it reduces the chances for stroke and lowers levels of bad cholesterol and on the other hand it enhances self-esteem, improves your mood and promote higher levels of work productivity.

So why don't people just go outside and play. We are going to identify the causes and analyse them for a better understanding of the topic.
Although there are a lot of barriers to exercise in this post I will analyse the most important three; perceived lack of time, lack of energy and lack of motivation.

Perceived lack of time because the real problem are your priorities. You prefer to do things that in your point of view are more enjoyable and satisfying than exercise. So if you make exercise enjoyable you will be able place it as one of your priorities such as watching TV. In average an individual watches TV 3-4 hours a day so how hard is it to find at least 30min per day for a walk or a jog with your friend, partner or dog.

Lack of energy or fatigue is another popular barrier to exercise. Research claims that fatigue is more mental than physical and is stress related. Exercise is proven to reduce levels of stress, from walking to riding a bicycle or play a tennis game. The key is to have fun so once you structure all the activities to be fun you and everyone will look forward for the next session as you might feel tired but you will not feel fatigued. Always remember that the more you do the more energy you have to do things.

Lack of energy is related to Lack of motivation to exercise. Commit yourself to change your behaviour, dedicate yourself on being more active. Set some goals (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals) and reach them to allow you to know how well you have been doing.
Start exercising and surprise yourself with your results.

What Types Of Exercise Are Better For Weight Loss?


Jogging, cycling and swimming are examples of endurance activities that if undertaken for longer than 40 minutes are perfect for weight loss. Do it at the intensity that you wish as long as it rises your heart rate levels above resting levels but never get out of breath.

Your body will relay on the sugar reserves during the first 20 minutes and will only start burning fat roughly after 30 minutes.

Are Weights Bad?


Weights should be used as a complement of training and be the training itself. Weights are better if everything you looking for is simply hypertrophy and localized strength.

Calisthenics or bodyweight training is better because it makes you quicker, more explosive and at the same time you gain functional strength. Instead of getting those heavy weights out do some press ups, pull ups, dips and squats and get you body not only looking good but ready for action.

Is There A Way Of Losing Weight Without Exercising?


Yes there are but they are not healthy and whoever uses those methods will eventually pay the price for it. Exercise is the healthiest and funniest way of losing weight.
